You’ve met the grain, why not say hello to one of the farmers who grow it? That would be Matt Mickelsen, whose family has been farming in Idaho since the 1870’s. He’s sympathetic toward the earth, and he drives a mean combine harvester.

Matt will tell you that he’s a “steward of the land,” and he puts his money where his mouth is. Then he dedicated 135 of his 535 acres of land to growing Eco-Grain™ wheat, and he’s looking to increase that as soon as it becomes feasible. Matt and his wife Ramie have five children, three of whom work on the farm alongside their parents. When they aren’t growing wonderful, healthy grain, they spend time together camping and hiking, or participating in local sports events like the annual Spudman Triathalon.
